Dr Thangamani Ramalingam Alagappan is an experienced lecturer at Sarvajanik College of Physiotherapy, Surat, Gujarat, India
He is a distinguished researcher and author with more than 30 original scientific articles and three books Dr. Alagappan’s latest book, Essentials of Research Methodology for All Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences Students, was published in November 2018
In addition to his academic activities, Dr. Alagappan has been instrumental in language translation initiatives He was part of the team that translated Cochrane and Pedro’s website in 250 simple languages into Tamil
Dr. Alagappan has also participated in the cross-cultural adaptation and psychometric validation of several instruments, including the Fear Avoidance Belief Questionnaire, the Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale, the Central Sensitization Survey, and the Neck Pain and Disability Scale in Gujarati and the DASH in the tamil .
Dr. Alagappan’s contribution to his field has been widely recognized and he was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Physiotherapists Association of India in March 2018 in New Delhi
